April President's Report - Mark Hooker

Updated: Jun 24

PRESIDENT’S LETTER

Mark Hooker

The last 2 months have been very busy and a lot of fun. Nancy and I have enjoyed all the various activities, renewing friendships and meeting and making new friends. When you are reading this letter, some of our residents will have already returned to their Northern homes for the summer and fall. We wish everyone a safe journey and a wonderful summer and fall.

Here are some things to remember: Shut off the water supply to your home before you leave for the summer and be sure you turn off your water heater also. Pam and I will be checking to make sure your water is off. Make sure you put away anything outside that could blow away in a storm. I suggest that you have someone check your house while you are gone and take care of any weeds or grass in your landscape that might grow this summer. If you do not, you risk receiving a letter from Pam asking you to have them removed. If you leave an auto here all summer, disconnect the negative side of the battery. This will prevent the battery from running down and keep someone from stealing it.

I would like to thank the ladies who volunteered for the Pictorial. These ladies are Ginette Bailey, Brenda Curcio, and Sandy Ramey. This will start in November and you will receive more information later this year but before November. Pictures will be taken in November, January, and February.

I am looking for a volunteer to replace Larry Fies for the Travel Club. If you are interested, contact me or Larry Fies.

Other committees are also looking for new members. If you are interested in volunteering on a committee, contact the chair person of that committee. This is a really good way to get to know people and what goes on in our park.

Many more of our residents will leave during April. Nancy and I wish a safe trip home to those residents and have a great summer. See you this fall.
