Manager's Report May 2021 - Pam McFarland

It has been a very unusual season this year and I have hope the season to come will be better in many ways. The staff and I truly appreciate all our residents and wish you a wonderful summer. Now that the season is officially over the staff will begin our summer schedules along with taking vacations. We will also begin completing our summer projects list in preparation for next season.


Vickie your office assistant has decided to retire. She will no longer be an employee of Golf Lakes as of April 30th. She has worked for the Association since 2014 and she was the office assistant for the sales office 3 years before that. Vickie has done a wonderful job for the Park and we will really miss her.


I want to thank all the committees that I have had the opportunity to work with this season. I appreciate all the work these committees do and the time that they sacrifice to make Golf Lakes the great park that it is. In my communication with other Managers, Golf Lakes has a unique community spirit and it is awesome to see it at work.


The Board of Directors in 2005 approved locking the clubhouse if there is a mandatory evacuation notice given for mobile homes in Manatee County. Summer residents need to plan now and beginning making arrangements to leave the park in case of an evacuation. Summer residents also need to have a plan to store all outside items away prior to leaving the Park during an evacuation.


FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE NO REMOTE IS NEEDED TO EXIT ANY OF THE GATES. USING THEM AT THE MAIN GATE OPENS THE ENTRANCE GATE. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD.


Remember in your absence, you need to have your guest check in with the office upon arrival. Only family members can use your unit in your absence. Also, it is the resident’s responsibility for their guest knowing and following the rules of the park. Please stress the pool rules as they are often overlooked. During the pandemic guest have not been allowed to use the facilities. Please check current status for guest and let them know. Residents have the authority to remind other residents and guests of the rules.


The office will be closed Monday, May 31st in observance of Memorial Day.

VII. MOBILE HOME SITE


16. All residents who will be away anytime for more than 7 days during official hurricane season (June 1st November 30th), must stow away all outdoor objects prior to leaving.

· This includes, but not limited to flowers pots, grills and decorative statues, outdoor furniture, garbage cans, bicycles and rain barrels.

· If not stored properly or anchored permanently, all such item will be removed.

· If an expense is incurred it will be charged to the owner.
