Managers Report - September 2021 by Pamela McFarland
As I write this and look forward to September, I am reminded the end of summer is quickly approaching and soon another season will begin. This month the staff will be finishing summer projects and completing final touch-ups as we prepare for another season. I had high hope that this season would see a step back to the normal season of the past. With the increase of the Covid-19 cases at this time each event and gathering will need to be evaluated as it was last season. Hopefully, this will come to an end at some point.
Several of our residents leave keys to their units in their files at the office. If you are a single individual please consider leaving a key in your file. If there is a need to check to be sure you are ok it simplifies the process.
Our summer rains are now here and everything is growing well including weeds. I completed a park inspection this week and there are several places that need weeding. If you are in the park, please take a walk around your unit and check for weeds. If you are not in the park please have someone check your home if you did not make prior arrangements.
Contracts to sign up for the park lawn mowing program will be mailed soon. These are annual contracts and must be signed and returned everyyear or you will not be on the park lawn mowing. If you desire to participate in this program, contracts need to be signed and returned to the office no later than November 1, 2021. Due to billing requirements, there will be no exceptions to this deadline. You many include them in your October quarterly payment if you don’t send it to the bank but to the office. The Realty office has had a lot of interest in sales this summer. There has been 3 closings in May, 2 in June and 2 in July and 7 pending closings for August. The office has just 1 home listed at this time For Sale. If you have a need to sell your unit please contact Golf Lakes Realty, Lynne for a Market Opinion.
The office will be closed for Labor Day, Monday, September 6th. Lynne and I have sponsored the Labor Day Picnic for many years. Unfortunately, the picnic is cancelled again this year.
