Manager’s Report by Pam McFarland It has been another busy and successful season. The staff and I truly appreciate all our residents and wish you a wonderful summer. Now that the season is officially over we will begin our summer schedules along with taking vacations. We will also begin completing our summer projects list in preparation for next season. The projects planned for outside vendors this summer so far are: • Backboards and poles replacement on the electrica lsystem throughout park. • Paving of Fourteen Cul-de-Sacs. • Painting of main hall of Clubhouse. • Replacement of main hall lighting with LED lighting.
I want to thank all the committees that I have had the opportunity to work with this season. I appreciate all the work these committees do and the time that they sacrifice to make Golf Lakes the great park that it is. In my communication with other Managers, Golf Lakes has a unique community spirit and it is awesome to see it at work. The Board of Directors in 2005 approved locking the clubhouse if there is a mandatory evacuation notice given for mobile homes in Manatee County. Summer residents need to plan now and make arrangements to leave the park in case of an evacuation.
Golf Lakes Realty is a dealer for Palm Harbor Homes. The model center is in Plant City, Florida. If you are interested in placing a new home on a lot at Golf Lakes, Lynne would love to make an appointment for you at the Model Center to see these beautiful homes. We currently have a new sales representative at Palm Harbor and we are excited to help you with a new home.
