October Presidents Letter

Updated: Jun 24, 2020

As more of our winter residents return this month the winter activities begin. Board meetings will resume this month. The first one will be the 17th of October which is the third Thursday. The change is due to Pam’s vacation. The 2nd meeting will be October 24th. All board meetings start at 9 A.M. in the Board Room and all residents of the park are welcome and encouraged to attend.

There will be a Communication Meeting on November 4th at 7:00 P.M. in the Clubhouse. I would encourage all residents to attend these meetings. Our Annual Meeting will February 10th, 2020. This is a change from the January Annual Meeting of the past. The Board voted to change the month so more residents will be here. Our December 2nd communication Meeting will be the Budget Meeting and our January 6th, 2020 meeting will be the introduction of the candidates running for the 3 vacant Board seats. You may submit a question for the candidates to answer by giving your question to the Search Committee 30 days before the January 6th, 2020 meeting. Not all questions will be used. The Search Committee is Beryl Atkinson, David Olson, and Phil Crawford.

If you do not have your Spectrum TV or internet installed at your home yet, you can call them and make an appointment for a date and time for when you will be here. Making the appointment before you arrive will save you time. The phone number for Spectrum is 833/697/7328. Tell them you live in Golf Lakes and you are under a Bulk Contract. When you give them you Bradenton address they will be able to find you in the computer. There may be a charge for this. If so, pay the bill and take the receipt to the office for reimbursement.

The Board is looking for someone to take over the Travel Club position held by Larry Fies. Larry will be moving out of Golf Lakes sometime in early 2020. If you have an interest in this volunteer position, please contact me or Larry for more information. We are both in the Directory.

Welcome back to our winter residents. We are glad to see you.
