President's Report June 2021 - by Mark Hooker

It is quiet in Golf Lakes now that our winter residents have gone north for the summer. It is a pleasant change.

The work on the sanitary sewers is complete for this year. The work at the water wheel is continuing. When it is done, it will provide a nice place to sit at the tables and relax and visit with fellow residents. There is no paving of streets this summer. The storm drains along 49th Avenue Drive East and 49th E west of 7th Street have been repaired. This should take care of the problems in those areas.

Our maintenance crew are working on many small projects along with their normal duties. These projects will help to keep our park beautiful. Look around when you return and see what they have been doing.

So far this spring we have not had much rain, but the weeds and grass is still growing. Since the May letter we have had some strong straight-line winds. Several of the homes in the area near the north gate had damage. These homes are being repaired or the repairs are already completed. No one was injured. We hope that that is the only storms we have this summer.

Father’s Day is later this month. To all our fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers Happy Father’s Day. That is all I have for this month. Enjoy your summer.

One Liner for June: There is one thin line between genius and insanity. I have erased that line.
