Presidents Report July 2020 - Mark Hooker

PRESIDENT’S LETTER

Mark Hooker

As I write this article for the July Banner it has been raining intermittently for the past few days due to the Tropical Storm Cristobal in the Gulf of Mexico. This rain is going to push back some of the jobs that were scheduled in the park. They will all get done eventually.

The new compactor has been installed. This will be a big improvement. It will eliminate the smell and improve the looks of the Maintenance/Barn area.

The paving of the main and north parking lots along with 5th Street from the 53rd Street gate to 49th Avenue Drive East were due to begin June 15th and should be done as you read this.

The Clubhouse is still closed to all activities except the Library. No decision has been made on opening the clubhouse. The pool is open to RESIDENTS ONLY and a maximum of 20 people at a time. The Fitness Center, Shuffleboard, Lawn Bowling, and Pickle Ball are all open to RESIDENTS ONLY with Social Distancing. Not following the guidelines and rules can result in loss of use of these facilities.

These are different times we are living in right now with Covid-19 restrictions and guideline and now all the protecting and looting. I am sure we will get through this, but it may be a quite different lifestyle.

I would like to Thank my wife for writing the Banner article last month. It was greatly appreciated.

To our Northern residents, stay safe and healthy this summer. We will see you when you return.
