Q: Is there a separate fee for the "Share" when purchasing a property?
A: No, Golf Lakes is completely resident/member owned and all homes include the current share value in the listing or selling price.
 
Q: What is Golf Lakes Residents Association Inc.?
A: A 99-Year Leasehold Co-Operative Association. As a Co-Operative Association owner/member you will receive a Proprietary Lease which outlines the Co-Operative, a Share Certificate of Membership, and the Rules and Regulations which govern the Association under the lease all members agree to abide by these rules.
 
Q: What is a Co-Op Land Lease?
A: An Association that buys or owns land. Share holders are issued a proprietary lease by the Corporation.  As a Share Holder, you can enjoy all the benefits of ownership as any other owner of real estate.  Deduction of taxes, mortgage interest, homestead deduction, and appreciation in property value is possible. 
 
Q: Do you have any lots available for a new home?
A: Yes, you can also purchase an older unit and have it removed to install a new home. Our Sales Office can help you with your questions and referrals for new manufactured home dealerships.
 
Q: Is the Golf Lakes community golf course free to use?
A: Yes, Golf Lakes has it’s own exclusive pitch & putt golf course. There are three greens with three different tee boxes for a total of nine holes.
 
Q: Can we have guests?
A: Yes, home owners can have guests stay at their property up to 60 days. Family members may stay at the property in the absence of owners. Other guests can stay with the owners present at the property. Homeowners should notify the office of guest visits.
 
Q: Can I get insurance?
A: Homes built after 1994 are built to better hurricane standards, and are generally more insurable. Homes built before 1994 are insurable at an insurance agency's option. Contact Golf Lakes Realty, Inc. for referrals to local insurance agencies. 
 
Q: Do you finance?
A: Golf Lakes does not offer financing. In the event you need financing you can contact Golf Lakes Realty, Inc. for referrals to local banks. 
 
Q: How much are the maintenance fees?
A: Maintenance fees average $289.51 per month, and are collected quarterly by the Association. The maintenance fee includes water, sewer, trash pick-up, cable TV and WiFi. (Lawn Service is optional and can be added for $50.49/mth). Current fees are listed on the Fees page of this web site. 
 
Q: Is the pool heated year round?
A: Yes, the pool is heated or chilled as needed to maintain a constant inviting temperature.
 
Q: Do you have a fitness room?
A: Yes, the fitness room has a variety of exercise equipment.
 
Q: Do you have a spa?
A: Yes
 
Q: Is there basketball?
A: Yes
 
Q: Is there Pickleball?
A: Yes, we have two lighted pickleball courts and pickle ball leagues you can join.
